Accreditation

Accreditation is a rigorous process that involves meeting regulatory standards and criterion to ensure effectiveness in program delivery. The accreditation process varies across agencies, each having its own set of rules and standards. At Hardon Education, we hold accreditation and approval from various agencies. While approval from some accrediting agencies are mandatory, some are optional. Below is an overview of the accreditations and approvals at Hardon Education.

 

Indiana Board for Proprietary Education/Indiana Commission for Higher Education

The Commission for Higher Education is charged with coordinating higher education in Indiana.  This 7-member public body is charged with authorizing all accredited Indiana proprietary institutions that grant degrees, as well as all accredited proprietary degree-granting, out-of-state institutions that offer instruction in Indiana. This institution is authorized by The Indiana Commission for Higher Education/ The Indiana Board for Proprietary Education, ,located at 101 West Ohio Street, Suite 300 Indianapolis, IN 46204-4206.

 

Indiana State Department of Health

The Certified Nurse Aide & Qualified Medication Aide: Training, Certification & Recertification and Registration Program ensures that individuals meet both the state and federal requirements for a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) and are on the Indiana Aides Registry. The Certificate in Nurse Aide & Qualified Medication Aide Programs at Hardon Education are approved by the Indiana State Department Health.  The Indiana State Department of Health, Long Term Care Division is located at 2 N Meridian Street, 4B in Indianapolis, IN 46204 and can reached via phone at (317) 233-7442.  State rules and regulations regarding the Indiana Nurse Aide program can be viewed online at http://www.in.gov/isdh/23260.htm.  State rules and regulations regarding the Indiana Qualified Medication Aide program can be viewed online at https://www.in.gov/isdh/20507.htm.

 

Indiana State Board of Nursing

The Indiana State Board of Nursing (ISBN) accredits and approves all nursing education programs offered in the state of Indiana. On February 16, 2023, the ISBN granted initial accreditation for the Certificate in Practical Nursing program at Hardon Education. The ISBN is located at 402 W Washington Street Room W072 in Indianapolis, IN 46204.

 

Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) supports the interests of nursing education, nursing practice, and the public by providing specialized accreditation for all levels of nursing education and transition-to-practice programs. Effective February 7, 2023, the Certificate in Practical Nursing program is a candidate for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. This candidacy status expires on February 7, 2025. Note: Upon granting of initial accreditation by the ACEN Board of Commissioners, the effective date of initial accreditation is the date on which the nursing program was approved by the ACEN as a candidate program that concluded in the Board of Commissioners granting initial accreditation.
