Nurse Aide Training

   The Nurse Aide Training Course is designed to provide comprehensive classroom and clinical learning experiences to prepare students with the basic skills required of nurse assistants according to the Administrative Standards of the Indiana State Department of Health.  Students who successfully complete the course by meeting all academic requirements will be eligible to sit for the state certification exam to be placed on the nurse aide registry.

 

     HEI is approved by the Indiana State Department of Health to conduct the Nurse Aide Training Course. We use the Indiana Nurse Aide Curriculum as the course text. 

 

    Admission to the Nurse Aide course is contingent upon submission of applicable documentation required for enrollment.  View the Admissions Checklist and start collecting necessary documentation at time of enrollment.

 

   Students must meet the following requirements to successfully complete the Nurse Aide Training Course:

1) Pass the course with an overall course grade of 80% or higher

2) Successfully demonstrate 100% of Resident Care Procedures

3) Complete all required classroom and clinical hours
