Certificate In Practical Nursing



This program prepares students with the minimal competencies for entry-level practical nurse practice. The program is structured to layer learning as students progress through the program of study. Students begin by becoming familiar with healthcare settings, the history of nursing and healthcare, and the role of the practical nursing. Science is incorporated to introduce and provide student's knowledge about anatomy and physiology, concepts of pharmacology, and microbiology. As they progress through the program, students are introduced to specific patient populations and common alterations in healthcare by those patient populations. At program completion, graduates are equipped to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for the Practical Nurse (NCLEX-PN). At the end of the course, students are awarded a Certificate of Completion.


  • Submission of transcripts to verify high school diploma or equivalency completion

  • Attend a Nursing Informational Session

  • Pass background screening (for state licensing)

  • Pass HESI exam

  • Open availability for classroom and clinical training

Program Length: 1-year program (consists of four 12-week Quarter terms)

Cost of Attendance: $18,060.00


Enrollment Fee: $95 non-refundable and will be applied toward the cost of attendance
